1st Hinckley Scout Group complies with the current data protection law and data protection principals (including post 25th May 2018 EU GDPR), which state that information must be:

1st Hinckley Scout Group recognise that the above principles relate to both paper and electronic systems of record keeping. This information will not be disclosed to any other party, unless with specific permission of the person it relates to.
Any person may request that their details are removed from our records at any time. Any person may request a copy of their information at any time.
1st Hinckley Scout Group use two databases, both of which are password protected and have limited access to only those who need to refer to them, “Online Scout Manager” is used for child, parent/carer, adult leader and helper information which includes: contact information, badge and attendance records, medical issues (where relevant) and subscription records. This is administered by and as such has access restricted to, the leadership of each group section.
The second database is the UK Scout Association “Compass” system which is used for uniformed leaders, section assistants and those occasional parent helpers who have agreed to go through the DBS checking system. Access to compass is restricted to the GSL and uniformed section leaders.
