D of E Silver & Gold Practice Expeditions

What a busy few weeks the D of E Teams have had. Sorting kit, completing training and taking part in their practice expeditions. 

Four teams completed their practices in all. Two Silver and two Gold teams. The Silver teams walked at lower level in the Dark Peak area of the Peak District National Park. The Gold teams completed their walks at higher levels in the same area. 

ALl teams walks alone and were self-sufficient throughout the weekends activities. The weather was extremely kind for the second teams who walked in late May. Lots of sunshine and lots of burnt arms and legs. 

The first Gold team however who completed their practice earlier had a really mixed weekend seeing rain, thunder and lighting, sunshine and to top it off some snow! 

All teams are now ready to complete their Assessed Expeditions in July.
