Expedition Weekend

Congratulations to all Scouts & Explorers from 1st Hinckley & 1st Stoke Golding Groups who completed the Expedition Weekend last week.

The organisers had three teams completing the weekend. A Bronze D of E Team who were being assessed. A Chief Scouts Gold Team and finally a mixed group of Explorers completing Practice Walks and Chief Scouts walks.

Everyone completed their expeditions and considering the hot weather conditions it was amazing how they coped.

Each team completed around 35k over the weekend. In addition to this there was additional training along the way for the Chief Scouts in lightweight camping skills and navigation.

Water top ups were provided along the route and for the Bronze Team a game of Uno at each checkpoint was their aim for the expedition.

Thanks to all the Leaders who came along to support. It was a really enjoyable weekend – although rather hot! Big congratulations to the Bronze Assessed Team who passed their Expedition section.
