Kettering Steam Fair 2022

Well what a fantastic weekend the Scouts & Explorers had at the Kettering Steam Fair, running and organising the car parking for the 21st time!

The weather was kind, the fair was packed with stalls and exhibits and we had enough members in attendance for everyone to have breaks and also visit the working fair during the weekend.

Everyone who worked on the car parking did an excellent job. Saturday was a little slower than Sunday but Sunday saw the whole of the parking field full. The older Explorers were able to show their experience parking some cars with drivers who perhaps lacked in driving skills! The older Scouts who have started their link at Explorers gained valuable experience ready for next year.

Special thanks must go to the three young Scouts – Allie, Lilah-mae & Thomas who spent all weekend rattling buckets with big smiles without complaining once. Also, to our little Beaver helper Stephen who came along to help with the buckets on Sunday.

Thanks to all the Leaders who came along to help or helped set up. Your time was very much appreciated.
