Winter Skills Camp - John Lees Wood

Well what a weekend the Scouts and Explorers had at John Lees Wood Campsite. Who would have thought they would be camping in the snow!! What an experience...

Everyone had a great time and coped well with the weather conditions. We even managed a mini expedition on Saturday with a ring walk around the Bradgate and Swithland areas. Very. very windy on the top of Old John.

Some really good skills put to the test with the weather conditions especially navigation and rescue exercises during the expedition.
